NIGHT PLOTS

Shot in a South London allotment over the course of a year, Night Plots sets out to capture its mysterious nocturnal life.

Plants and partially illuminated objects juxtapose, creating surreal, organic sculptures and still lives: garden tools, cobbled-together structures, vegetables, brambles and other greenery interact like the protagonists of a strange play.

Through long exposure and light drawing, what is invisible to the naked eye is revealed, and ethereal scenes emerge from the darkness to create a narrative (or part of a narrative) unfolding in the stillness of the gardens at night.
